Château Cos Labory
AOC Saint-Estèphe
5th Growth
Situated in the Saint-Estèphe appellation, Château Cos Labory takes his name from its geographical situation, on the hill Cos. This family property has changed over the time through substantial investment into technology, particularly an ultra-modern vathouse and a new cellar. Having decided to vinify the wines at low temperatures to preserve and extract the fruit, we aim to offer wines that age well but are also enjoyable when still young.

Description
Brilliant purity and aromatic persistence. Very well structured, this wine highlights the technical nature of the winemaking carried out with the aim of revealing the best fruit on soft tannins, without excessive astringency. The nose opens with intense ripe fruit aromas, evolving fresh cedar notes. On the palate, the wine reveals great harmony, perfectly balanced with a soothing texture on the mid-palate, with a softness and crunch of fruit. Without becoming too powerful, the persistent length of the finish highlights spicy and mineral notes.
Tasting
“The 2017 Cos Labory is medium to deep garnet-purple colored and very fragrant and floral with red and black fruits, some spices and earth plus a waft of herbs. The palate is medium-bodied, soft, fine-grained and juicy with good expression and length.” – Wine Advocate
